Owning a dog can be an enjoyable experience to your family. You must choose the best dogs for your family.
The size of dog is an important factor when choosing the best dogs for your family. Not all If you live in a small house or apartment, it’s better to choose a smaller dog. But if you live in a big house or you have a large yard, you can choose the larger dog. You must consider that owning a small dog needs extra attention.
When choosing the best dogs, you can choose by their gender. Generally, female dogs are smaller than the male one. And female dogs are more easily trained at earlier ages.
Some dogs are patient and have easy to love temperaments, while others might be more prone biting out of sheer annoyance. Here is what to look for in some good dog breeds that make excellent pets (even around children).
Schnauzers are dogs which make great pets so long as you get either a standard or a miniature size Schnauzer. Giant schnauzers (cross bred with Collies or Great Danes) aren’t great with small children as they may hurt the child without meaning to by running into them with their massive bodies. Miniature Schnauzers and Standard Schnauzers, however, are great with small children and understand that gentleness is needed. They’re also highly intelligent and very easily trained.
Labrador Retrievers are the most popular breed of dog in the world and are excellent family pets. They’re gentle and patient with small children, and energetic and intelligent enough to play with older kids. German Shepherds are the third most popular dog in the United States. They’re extremely loyal to familiar people (perhaps to a fault) and can be quite distrusting of unfamiliar people if they are not properly socialized.
Boxers are also a very popular breed for their friendliness toward virtually all people and their high levels of energy and play. Training boxers becomes very easy with positive reinforcement such as clicker training. Another fun loving dog that is great with children is a Pug.
